Dr K's all natural aftershave balm contains coconut oil, apricot kernel oil and shea butter for potent moisturization while Vitamin E and Peppermint Essential Oil soothe and revitalize the skin.
Coconut Oil is a natural moisturising cream (emollient) and has also been used for the treatment of dandruff, skin infections and other skin ailments. Due to its oils and high fat content (approx. 90 percent saturated fats), it offers amazing moisturizing properties and is the perfect ingredient for soothing skin after the stress of shaving.
Shea butter has long been used in Africa as a natural moisturising cream (emollient) and has also been used for the treatment of burns and other skin ailments. Shea butter contains vitamins A and E, both of which have numerous benefits for the skin.
Apricot Kernel oil is a very mild natural oil. Cold pressed and refined from the dried kernels of the apricot fruit, this oil is known for its ability to penetrate the skin without leaving an oily feel. Rich in essential fatty acids (oleic, linoleic), this oil is also high in Vitamin A and C. Its excellent softening and moisturizing properties are great for both face and hair.

Oily, but good & incredibly long lasting tub
Great product. It's oilier than some, but you'll learn that when you put too much on first time. Very much on the plus side, this makes it do its job well, the tub lasts forever, and makes it great value.

Total moisturizing shot I
The fact that I'm a car wax guy made the idea of usig Dr. K Soap aftershave balm very appealing to me. After all, shaving was going to be like performing some sort of detailing session to my face. Actually, it is: first, I decontaminate my face (by washing it); second, I prepare it (by shaving it); third, I protect it (by waxing it). It can be said that all the shaving people follow the same systematic process when shaving their faces. Some of them do more steps than others (scrubbing lotions, cleansing tonics, pre-shaving oils...), but in general terms, the process stays the same. If you like, when looking into my previous statement from a more "detailed" point of view, we can even go further and talk about shaving as the following process: washing, embeded pollution and hairs scrubbing, face surface cleansing, pre-shaving lubrication, shaving soap, cream, gel, foam... application, shaving in the strict sense, finish protection, finish maintenance... But, what is Dr. K Soap aftershave balm, my favourite shaving wax, all about? It's the ultimate moisturizing shot after shaving your face. The waxy nature of the balm and its all natural ingredients recipe highly nourish your recently acquired like a babe bum skin like no other. In the warmer months, the balm melts easily between your fingers, but its extra moisturizing feature makes it my preference of choice in the colder months, when I also use it as my particular "face armour", allowing the wax to do its protection thing. In addition, the cool mint scent acts like a very welcoming refreshing shot, although I find the lime one to be as pleasant as the cool mint one. Yes, I bought both when I first had to make a decision and I highly encourage you to do the same and enjoy two wonderful scents depending on your mood, if you like. Like every Dr. K Soap product, a little goes a long way, but you always will want to use more than needed (getting a slight greasy feeling and a shiny look, it's a wax after all ;P). Right now I'm growing beard and use it occasionally as beard balm too. Keep calm and try it!
