This is a really great balm, and definitive offers a southing effect post shave. A little really does go a long way with this, so it lasts a good while. And, I personally love the citrus sent afterwards too.

The perfect balm for sensitive or even very sensitive skin. Great texture and a very pleasant, natural scent. Application is very easy and the amount lasts for a very long time. My favorite!

This is the story about the Dr. K Soap pearlescent product. Yes, the performance of the Dr. K Soap aftershave balm lemon 'n lime is flawless and the scent is very refreshing. You are probably thinking that you are reading my mind just a fraction of a second before I type these very same words... Sorry, you are wrong. I know well that you may have already read "Total moisturizing shot I", my review about Dr. K Soap aftershave balm cool mint; if you haven't, make you a favour and read it. ;P That's OK, I'll tell you the truth about the Dr. K Soap pearlescent product. I'm sure I've read somewhere, either in the old website or in the now recycled direction cards that I received with my order, that Dr. K advises to store his balms far from heat sources because they can melt and liquify due to their waxy nature. Last year I broke that rule. I was driving my beautiful coupé from the 90's to nowhere under a very bright sun in the hot Mediterranean summer. The aircon set to the max and the highest flow were deficient to cool the cabin and my travel bag was under the passenger seat. Yes, now you are right: my toilet bag was stored there and my precious Dr. K Soap aftershave balm lemon 'n lime was inside it. :) When it got dark I decided to stop to have a rest in a lovely lodge. To be honest, my face was a bit neglected, so I decided to give it a bit Dr. K Soap love. I went to the toilet and opened my toilet bag to uncover "the unexpected incident": my aftershave had become a liquid. Luckily, I also brought with me the go-to face-and-beard moisturizer a.k.a. face armour, so in the end I managed to have a total Dr. K Soap pleasant experience. =D When the temps went lower, the lemon 'n lime balm turned solid again, but its texture wasn't the same as the very first time opened it. Now the wax had acquired a new shape: pearls. Since that moment, the balm became to me the Dr. K Soap pearlescent product. Unfortunately, the application to my face of the pearlescent product was odd and embarrassing. Far from giving up and throw it in the bin, I found a new and excellent role for it: heavy moisturizer hands balm. From then on, every time I have had my hands neglected and cracked, the Dr K. Soap pearlescent product has popped up to soothe them with a so incredible and high effectiveness, that is one of the two products I bought from Dr. K that I've been able to finish off (I still have more than a half cool mint balm recipient). The other one is face armour... but I ordered two units of it. ;P I rate it 5 stars because its performance is as good as the one you can get with the cool mint balm; on the other hand, the incident which altered its original texture was carried out under my sole responsibility. :) Try it and become a Dr. K Soap addict! ;P
